Massage Therapist

Born and raised in the Upper Hunter, Tehjana moved to Newcastle at the completion of her Higher School Certificate.

As an avid sports fan, Tehjana has always been interested in the treatment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic injuries. During her Diploma of Remedial Massage at TAFE, Tehjana worked in conjunction with the Newcastle Knights and the Newcastle Jets providing soft tissue therapy. Since the completion of her degree in 2015, Tehjana has continued to work with the Newcastle Jets as their Head Soft Tissue Therapist.

Throughout her career, Tehjana has had the opportunity to work with various athletes from both the NRL and the A-League. She has also worked as a part of the Massage Therapists Team for the Fijian International NRL Squad for the 2016 Pacific Test.

In 2019, Tehjana completed a course in Myofascial cupping.

Q. What are your core beliefs about wellness and health?

To support optimal health and wellbeing we must maintain a balance of movement, rest and recovery.

Q. What key health lessons do you like to impart to patients?

I encourage my clients to heighten their awareness and listen to their body, no two people are the same so take the time to find what works for you.

Q. What do you enjoy about your job?

I love that my job allows me to help people. I am able to assist an individual in achieving their fitness/sporting goals, reduce chronic pain or simply provide a relaxing environment for those who need to de-stress and unwind.

Q. What are your extracurricular passions?

Outside of work I enjoy pilates, spending time with family and friends, and sport.
