Achilles tendinopathy is a common overuse injury that can develop gradually through repetitive strain or a sudden increase in activity. Factors such as poor footwear, inadequate recovery, training on hard surfaces and changes in exercise routines can all contribute to tendon pain.
Common symptoms include pain or stiffness in the heel or lower calf, tenderness, swelling and difficulty pushing up onto your toes.
Early physiotherapy assessment and a structured rehabilitation program can help reduce pain, restore strength and minimise the risk of re-injury.
Experiencing Achilles pain? Book an appointment with Hunter Physio Sports Clinic today and take the first step towards a stronger recovery.
