Exercise Physiologist

Qualifications & Experience:

Kristy graduated from the University of Sydney with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and subsequently gained accreditation as an Exercise Scientist and Exercise Physiologist with ESSA.

With over 20 years of experience, Kristy has obtained advanced qualifications in chronic and complex pain management, acquiring comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the delivery and application of exercise centred treatment plans. She has extensive experience working with individuals and groups across Workers Compensation, Insurance, Enhanced Primary Care, Private, Industry and Corporate sectors.

Kristy is a mentor for Exercise Physiologists in the clinical application of evidence-based techniques and has delivered education programs for ESSA NSW and statewide Exercise Physiology practices.

Areas of Expertise:

Kristy employs a comprehensive approach to managing injury and illness, addressing the underlying contributors of symptoms incorporating education, movement, nutrition, and psychosocial components. She has a keen interest in the way the brain works and communicates with the body.

Sporting background:

Kristy participated in State and National Softball. She coached women and men’s softball at a State League level and was a Sports Trainer for club soccer, rugby league and Hunter representative rugby union teams. She played A-grade soccer and representative indoor cricket.

A little more about Kristy:

Kristy is a beekeeper, plays the euphonium and trombone, is a true crime enthusiast, and enjoys going to the theatre.
