Clayton Barnes
Qualifications & Experience:
Clayton was born and raised in the Southern Highlands, having attended Bowral Primary School and Bowral High School. After finishing Year 12, he moved to Orange to study a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University.
Following his studies, Clayton returned to the Southern Highlands where he worked in private practice for five years before recently relocating to Newcastle.
Specific Physiotherapy Interests:
Clayton has a strong passion for sports performance and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. As an avid sportsman, his interest in sport led him into the physiotherapy profession, where he combines his sporting knowledge and personal experience with injury and performance to support his patients and athletes.
He has a special interest in treating sporting upper limb injuries, particularly shoulder conditions. Clayton has completed post-graduate training in Strength and Conditioning coaching and CCMI Concussion Management, and has previously worked with Bowral Blacks Rugby Union Club and Illawarra Rugby providing both on- and off-field injury management.

Outside of sport, Clayton enjoys staying active through regular gym training and spending time at the beach, making the most of the outdoors while maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
Clayton enjoys getting to know his patients and aims to educate and empower them throughout their rehabilitation to help them achieve their goals.
