About Us

Newcastle’s Leading Physiotherapy Practice

Established In 1995

Hunter Physio Sports Clinic is an established Newcastle physiotherapy practice that has been providing sports physiotherapy services to the people of Newcastle and the Hunter Region for over 25 years.

Hunter Physio has evolved and joined forces with soft tissue experts Elite Muscle Health in 2021 to rebrand as Hunter Physio Sports Clinic. We still have the same principal therapists but the addition of some great new faces that uphold the same Gold Standard treatments clients have known and trusted us with for over 25 years.

What We Do

As well as expert Sports Physiotherapy treatments and advice, we provide Spinal and Musculo–Skeletal Physiotherapy, Dry Needling, Sports Orthotics, Clinical Pilates, Running Assessments, Dance Pre Pointe Assessments and Remedial Massage services.

About Hunter Physio Broadmeadow

Where We Are

Located at The Nine ways, Broadmeadow, Hunter Physio Sports Clinic first opened it’s doors in May 1995, and has consistently provided Newcastle Physiotherapy services of the highest quality.

Over the years, we have welcomed patients from all areas of Newcastle, Port Stephens, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Region, addressing all types of injuries and body types.

Treat The Cause Of Your Pain

Our physios believe in curing the cause of your pain, not just treating the symptoms, giving us a reputation as one of the best physiotherapy clinics in Newcastle.

We aim to give you the knowledge and support so you can manage your condition. We are a “hands-on” clinic, and combine muscle activation, strengthening, core, balance, proprioceptive and stretching exercises to complement all of our manual mobilisation, massage, manipulation and dry needling treatments. We believe this keeps you performing at your peak and importantly, assists in avoiding re-injury.

If we can’t help you achieve clear, positive improvements within a few consultations, we will refer you for further investigations or to our experienced network of sports doctors, specialists and consultants.

About Hunter Physio Broadmeadow

Who We Treat

Our Physiotherapists and Remedial Massage Therapists treat adults, adolescents and children. In the past, we have treated everyone from elite athletes to occasional joggers and everybody in between. It doesn’t matter if you have a local football grand final coming up, have a niggly running injury or just can’t cope with simple day to day tasks, we are here to help.

If you need physiotherapy in Newcastle, Hunter Physio Sports Clinic will look after you.

Specific Physiotherapy Treatment

We understand that you need to get back to work and sport as quickly as possible following injury so we aim to provide appropriate treatment and advice in the acute phase of injury, plus create an appropriate, specific rehabilitation program that allows you a trouble free return to sport and work.

An appropriate rehabilitation program should be specific to your activity and this requires a physiotherapist who understands the elements of your sport, dancing or work that may lead to injuries, and how best to prevent them. Our goal is to give you the best physio outcome for your particular injury.
